Administrative Assistant

Ronald McDonald House® of Cleveland, Inc., a nonprofit organization, supports families whose children receive treatment at area medical centers by providing a home-like environment and essential resources and services. We serve more than 100,000 individuals through our 55-room House, Ronald McDonald Family Rooms at four area medical centers, and online resource for Ohio families, RedTreehouse.org. 

Ronald McDonald House® of Cleveland, Inc. ("RMH”) is currently seeking an Administrative Assistant who will report directly to the Executive Director. In the spirit of teamwork, the Administrative Assistant will interact in collaboration with the RMH staff and volunteers to provide support and assistance in the fulfillment of their goals and objectives. The Administrative Assistant supports both the internal and external operations of the Ronald McDonald House® of Cleveland, Inc. ("RMH"). The Assistant's hours follow a general business office schedule, with flexibility to attend evening meetings and/or events as needed.

Responsibilities include: answering phones in a pleasant manner and directing callers to the appropriate person; entering information in the database and running reports; processing and acknowledging donations in a timely manner; providing clerical support for the board and committees, including taking and distributing meeting minutes;  maintain conference room schedule for internal and external events; overseeing paid conference room rentals; supporting RMH events; responding to email, mail, and voicemail messages; coordinating mailings; maintaining office supply inventory and office equipment; ordering office supplies; ensuring filing is accurate and up-to-date; conducting general office duties as requested; conducting tours of RMH; and assist the Executive Director and other staff as needed.

Position requirements are: minimum of 3 years’ experience as an administrative assistant; excellent computer proficiency, including all MS Office products and database software; attention to detail and accuracy; excellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills and ability to relate to people of diverse backgrounds; strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, meet frequent deadlines, and be self-disciplined; ability to work in a flexible, team oriented environment; must have a valid driver’s license and insurance coverage.

This position has some physical demands that include: sitting, viewing computer monitors, and utilizing a computer keyboard; standing during community functions; reliable transportation; some lifting and carrying required.
