Happy New Year!
I am writing this letter to thank all the "elves" that made it possible for our son to have Christmas on Christmas Morning.
My husband and I live in Dayton, our handicapped son lives in Toledo. On December 23rd at 8:00pm we got a call that we needed to drive to Toledo Medical Center and pick up our son (2.5 hours from home) then drive him to the Cleveland Clinic (2 more hours) and have emergency surgery on Christmas Eve Day. Our son needed a new battery placed in his chest to operate his occipital nerve stimulator.
Our son was released on Christmas Eve and we returned to the Ronald McDonald House that evening. Obviously, under the circumstances we had no gifts for Christmas morning. Our son awoke to find a big box outside our door full of gifts on Christmas Morning! Miracles happen every day!
