Request a Room
Ronald McDonald House of Cleveland, Inc. (RMH) provides a homelike setting for 55 families each night. The safety and well-being of our guests is a top priority. Therefore, RMH has established a new policy requiring background checks for all of our overnight guests.
As of May 1, 2016, RMH requires all adults (18 years old or older) to pass a criminal background check before being allowed to stay at RMH.
Convictions for crimes, including, but not limited to, violent crimes, domestic violence, child abuse, sex offenses, illegal drug activity, burglary, and/or identity theft will result in your request to stay at RMH being rejected. A separate background check is required for each adult who wants to stay at the RMH.
You may request a room up to, but no sooner than, seven days (one week) before you need it. Complete a Room Request form. In addition, each adult must complete and submit a Criminal History Background Report Authorization. Background checks forms are accepted up to, but no sooner than, seven days prior to arrival and must be repeated after one year.
We’ll process your background checks and contact you if there is a problem. At 3 pm the day before your arrival, we will assign you a room if we have one available at the time or add your name to the wait list. We’ll call you when a room is available.
You may want to make a reservation at a hotel as a back-up plan for the first night, in case we have a wait list. (You can cancel the reservation if a room at RMH becomes available). Here are some alternative housing options.
